A series of five spectacular sandstone ridges running north to south, the impressive Grampian ranges are renowned for their breathtaking scenic attractions, ancient Aboriginal rock art and a wealth of adventure and nature based activities.

Located at the top of the region, visitors can admire heritage streetscapes of St Arnaud, or explore the banks of the Wimmera River at Horsham. Nearby, Avoca is nestled in the eastern base of the beautiful Pyrenees Ranges and is known for fine wine and horse racing.

The service centre for the Grampians, Stawell is a thriving and bustling city. Visitors won’t want to miss the area of Great Western which has become well known as an attractive wine village. Wartook Valley is close by, featuring an area of unspoilt and diverse scenery.

Visit Halls Gap, the tourist hub at the heart of the Grampians or Pomonal, the ideal nature walk destination. Or why not revisit the gold rush in Ararat.

Discover Beaufort and its superb local produce or explore the beautiful village of Dunkeld set in the shadow of Mt Sturgeon and Mt Abrupt. The last stop on the list to complete this scenic region is Hamilton, a town with a prosperous wool growing heritage.
